The Masurian Lake District, also known as the land of a thousand lakes, is located on the border of the Warmian-Masurian and Podlaskie provinces. In fact, there are as many as 2,600 lakes here. The best known and most visited lakes of the Masurian Lake District include: Lake Śniardwy, Mamry Lake, Lake Kisajno, Leleskie Lake.
