Unique castles, caves, thermal springs, folk architecture, European Dead Sea, famous Celtic city, lost European wilderness and much more. You can find all this at my place in Slovakia. SLOVAKIA IS A CASTLE POWER: You would be hard-pressed to find a country in the world that can be proud of so many castles and chateaux. In total, you can find up to 220 of them and another 425 mansions. THE FIRST RESERVE OF FOLK ARCHITECTURE IN THE WORLD: The picturesque wooden village of Čičmany is the first reserve of folk architecture in the world. There you can see how our ancestors lived, how they dressed, how wooden painted houses were created. THE CENTER OF EUROPE: When it is said that Slovakia is the heart and center of Europe, it is no fiction. A stone stands next to the church in a beautiful place near Kremnické Bane. This stone announces that the geographical center of Europe is located there. THE TALLEST ALTAR IN THE WORLD: measures up to 18.6 m and it took up to 10 years for its author Master Pavol from Levoča to carve it. He used linden wood for it. You can see him in the Levoča in the church of St. Jakub. MINERAL SPRINGS: You won't find a country in the world that has so many mineral springs considering its size. Officially there are 1,657 registered, but it is believed that there are many more.
